Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 735(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894(1), is pleased, by and with the advice Of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Confirmation of Legislation) (Cayman Islands) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 19th August 1987.
2. The Merchant Shipping (Registry) Law, 1987(2)is hereby confirmed.

This Order, made under section 735(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894, confirms a Law enacted by the Legislature of the Cayman Islands which repeals, in relation to the registration of ships in the Cayman Islands, certain provisions of Part I of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894 regarding such registration.
