The Banking Act 1987 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1987

The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 110(2) of the Banking Act 19871, hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Banking Act 1987 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1987.

The provisions of the Banking Act 1987 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 15th July 1987.

This Order brings into force on 15th July 1987 the provisions of the Banking Act 1987 relating to restrictions on disclosure of information obtained by the Bank of England, the making of orders, interpretation, certain consequential amendments and repeals, the application of the Act to Northern Ireland, its short title and commencement.
