The Rules of the Air and Air Traffic Control (Third Amendment) Regulations 1987

Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of his powers under article 64(1) of the Air Navigation Order 19851 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations—

These Regulations may be cited as the Rules of the Air and Air Traffic Control (Third Amendment) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 1st October 1987.

The Table to rule 36(1) of the Schedule to the Rules of the Air and Air Traffic Control Regulations 19852 shall be amended as follows—

In Column 1 immediately below“Liverpool”there shall be inserted“London City Airport”and in Column 2 adjacent thereto there shall be inserted“(3)(a) and (b)”.

In Column 2 adjacent to“London/Stansted”there shall be deleted“4(a), (b) and (c)”.

These Regulations amend the Rules of the Air and Air Traffic Control Regulations 1985. The following changes are made:

Rule 36 is amended to establish Special Rules Airspace at London City Airport (regulation 2(1)).

Paragraphs (4)(a), (b) and (c) of rule 36 no longer apply to London/Stansted Airport (regulation 2(2)).
