The Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1987

Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 43(2) and (6) of the Road Traffic Act 19721, and now vested in him2, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 199(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 3rd August 1987.

The Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 19813 are hereby amended so that in the regulations specified in column 1 of the Table below for the amounts specified in column 2 of that Table there are substituted the amounts specified in column 3 of the Table.

These Regulations further amend the Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981 so that with effect from 3rd August 1987:

i

the fee payable for the examination of a motor cycle not having a side car attached to it is increased from £7.10 to £7.48;

ii

the fee payable for the examination of any other vehicle (not being a vehicle in Class VI) is increased from £11.90 to £12.52; and

iii

the fee for the supply of 100 forms of test certificate is increased from £27 to £32.
