Citation, commencement and interpretation1

This order may be cited as the Local Government Reorganisation (Miscellaneous Provision) (No. 4) Order 1986 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1986.

In this Order—

  • “the Act” means the Local Government Act 1985;

  • “abolished council” means the Greater London Council or a metropolitan county council.
