The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 76(1) of the Administration of Justice Act 1982, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Administration of Justice Act 1982 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1985.
2. Section 6 of the Administration of Justice Act 1982 shall come into force on 1st July 1985.

Section 6 of the Administration of Justice Act 1982 amends the Supreme Court Act 1981 (c. 54) by inserting a section 32A, providing for the award of provisional damages for personal injuries. This Order brings section 6 into force on 1st July 1985, but by virtue of section 73(2) of the Administration of Justice Act 1982 it applies to actions whenever commenced, including actions commenced before the passing of the Act.
The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by commencement orders made before the date of this Order:
