The Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1985

Coming into Operation

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 44(4) of the Road Traffic Act 1972 and now vested in him1, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with the provisions of section 199(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st March 1985, and may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 1985.

The Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 19812 are hereby amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

In Regulation 3 (Interpretation), in paragraph (1), immediately before the words ““articulated bus”” insert the words “agricultural motor vehicle”.

In Regulation 6 (Exemptions), in paragraph (1), after sub-paragraph (xix) add the following sub-paragraph:—

an agricultural motor vehicle.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981 by adding agricultural motor vehicles to the classes of vehicles which are exempt from the provisions of the Regulations.
