2.  The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Oil Pollution) Order 1983 shall be amended by deleting in article 3(1) the words “the said Convention and Protocol” and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:—

“(aa) the Convention and Protocol; and

   

(bb) amendments thereto adopted by the Marine Environment Protection Committee of the International Maritime Organization at its 20th Session by resolution MEPC 14(20),”.
