The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 130(4) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:—
1. This order may be cited as the Isles of Scilly (Mental Health) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 12th March 1985.
2. The Mental Health Act 1983 shall extend to the Isles of Scilly with the modification that the expression “local social services authority” in that Act shall, in relation to those Isles, mean
3. The Isles of Scilly (Mental Health) Order 1962 is hereby revoked.

This order extends the Mental Health Act 1983 to the Isles of Scilly, subject to modification relating to the identification of the local social services authority, and revokes the order extending to those Isles legislation now repealed.
section 130(4) was extended by the Mental Health Act 1983 (c. 20), section 149(4).
