WATER, ENGLAND AND WALES
Section 3(1) and
(3) of the Water Act 1983
provides that the Secretary of State may by order determine the functions
of the National Water Council. Paragraph 8 of
Schedule 2 to the Act empowers the Secretary
of State to transfer to a specified water authority certain named liabilities
of the Council.
