It brings into force the remaining, miscellaneous, provisions of the Act on various dates in 1982. 1982 No. 893 (C.23) TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT SOCIAL SECURITY PENSIONS The Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982 (Commencement <Abbreviation Expansion="Number">No.</Abbreviation> 1) Order 1982 Made 30th June 1982 The Secretary of State for Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 48(3) of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:— Citation 1 This order may be cited as the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1982. Appointed days 2 The day appointed for the coming into force of each provision of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982 (hereinafter in this order referred to as “the Act”) which is specified in column (1) of the Schedule to this order shall be the date specified in column (3) of that Schedule in relation to that provision.
