2.  In the Transport Act 1981—

(a) section 35(1) and (2) (charges for licensing of cabs and cab drivers in London) and

(b) in Part III of Schedule 12 (repeals), the entry relating to the Metropolitan Public Carriage Act 1869

shall come into force on 1st April 1982.
