In relation to any body who are not statutory undertakers for the purposes of Part XI of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 (c. 78), section 99(6)(b) empowers the Secretary of State, with the concurrence of the Treasury, to designate by order the appropriate Minister. This order sets out who are to be the appropriate Ministers for the bodies named in it.
