The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 9 of the Matrimonial Homes and Property Act 1981 (“the Act”), hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Matrimonial Homes and Property Act 1981 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1981.
2. The provisions of the Act specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into operation on 1st October 1981.
