EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES
Made
22nd July 1981
Laid before Parliament
7th August 1981
Coming into Operation
1st September 1981
In exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 24 of the Superannuation Act 1972, the Secretary of State for Education and Science hereby, with the consent of the Minister for the Civil Service, makes the following Regulations:—
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Colleges of Education (Compensation) (Amendment) Regulations 1981 and shall come into operation on 1st September 1981.
2. In the definition of “direction” in Regulation 2(1) of the Colleges of Education (Compensation) Regulations 1975 after the words “Secretary of State” there shall be inserted the words “before 1st September 1981.”
Mark Carlisle
Secretary of State for Education and Science
20th July 1981
Consent of the Minister for the Civil Service given under her Official Seal on 22nd July 1981.
L.S.
T.A.A. Hart
Authorised by the Minister for the Civil Service
These Regulations amend the definition of the expression “direction” in the Colleges of Education (Compensation) Regulations 1975 as one given under Regulation 3(2) of the Further Education Regulations 1975. The Education (Schools and Further Education) Regulations 1981 (S.I. 1981/1086), which come into operation on 1st September 1981, revoke Regulation 3(2). The amendment makes it clear that the reference to Regulation 3(2) is not to be construed as including a reference to the provisions analogous thereto contained in the Regulations of 1981.
