Coming into Operation
Whereas the Treasury has determined under section 60(2) of the Local Government Act 1958 that the Secretary of State is the appropriate Minister in relation to members of fire brigades of a class prescribed by the Firemen's Pension Scheme for the purposes of section 2 of the Fire Services Act 1951:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said section 60(2) and section 85(4) of the London Government Act 1963, I hereby make the following Regulations:—
