The Drainage Schemes (Notices) Regulations 1965

Coming into Operation
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 30(6) of the Land Drainage Act 1961 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:—
Citation, Commencement and Interpretation

These regulations may be cited as the Drainage Schemes (Notices) Regulations 1965 and shall come into operation on the 1st April 1965.

The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
Manner of Giving Notice

A notice given under section 30(6) of the Land Drainage Act 1961 (which provides that an authority to which that section applies, before making a scheme for the drainage of land in the area to which the scheme relates, shall give notice to the owners and occupiers of land within that area and to any other person appearing to the authority to be affected by the scheme) shall be in writing.

A copy of the notice shall also be published in a newspaper circulating in the district in which the said area is situated.

Section 120 of the Water Resources Act 1963 (which section relates to the service of documents) shall have effect in relation to the giving of the notice mentioned in paragraph (1) of the last preceding regulation by any such authority as is there mentioned as it has effect in relation to the giving of a notice authorised to be given under that Act.
Revocation

The Drainage Schemes (Notices) Regulations 19611 are hereby revoked.
