And be it further enacted, That no Tree, Bush, or Shrub shall hereafter be planted on any Carriageway or Cartway, or within the Distance of Fifteen Feet from the Centre thereof; but the same shall respectively be cut down, grubbed up, and carried away by the Owner or Occupier of the Land or Soil within Twenty-one Days after Notice to him or his Agent by the Surveyor, on pain of forfeiting for every Neglect the Sum of Ten Shillings.
