1 Short title and construction of Act.U.K.

This Act may be cited as The Greenwich Hospital Act, 1872; and this Act and The Greenwich Hospital Acts, 1865 to 1870, shall be read and have effect together as one Act . . . F1

4 Education and maintenance of daughters of seamen and marines, &c. U.K.

The Admiralty may, under regulations to be from time to time made by them, provide wholly or in part, for the education and maintenance of daughters of warrant officers, non-commissioned officers, and men, of the Royal Navy and Marines . . . F3.

5 Education and maintenance of sons and daughters of deceased officers &c. U.K.

The Admiralty may, under regulations to be from time to time made by them, provide, wholly or in part, for the education and maintenance of sons and daughters of deceased or distressed commissioned officers of the Royal Navy or Marines . . . F4

The provisions of section twenty of The Greenwich Hospital Act, 1865, as far as the same relate to salaries, shall extend to pensions and pecuniary benefits of any kind.
