The Education Act 2002 is amended as follows.

In section 133 (requirement to be qualified), in subsection (6)—
(a)
omit “or” after paragraph (a);
(b)
after paragraph (b) insert
“, or
(c)
Academies of a description specified by the Secretary of State in regulations under this section.”
(3)
In section 135A(4) (requirement to serve induction period: teachers in England), at the end of the definition of “relevant school” insert “or Academies of a description specified by the Secretary of State in regulations under this section.”
