After section 436S of the Education Act 1996 (as inserted by section 39) insert—

“Children not in school and school attendance orders: processing of information

436TProcessing of information

(1)

This section applies to section 434A, sections 436B to 436Q and Schedule 31A, and provisions of regulations made under any of those provisions.

(2)

A disclosure of information authorised or required under any provision to which this section applies does not breach—

(a)

any obligation of confidence owed by the person making the disclosure, or

(b)

any other restriction on the disclosure of information (however imposed).”
