Section 1 of the Health and Social Care (Control of Data Processing) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (control of information of a relevant person) is amended as follows.

In subsection (8), for “made by or under the Data Protection Act 1998” substitute “of the data protection legislation”.

After subsection (12) insert—
12A
In this section, “the data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act).
