Section 22 of the Commissioners for Revenue and Customs Act 2005 (data protection, etc) is amended as follows.

The existing text becomes subsection (1).

In that subsection, in paragraph (a), for “the Data Protection Act 1998 (c. 29)” substitute “
the data protection legislation

In this section, “the data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act).
