7Maintained schools: guidance for staff member for looked after pupils
In section 20 of the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 (designated staff member for looked after pupils) after subsection (2) insert—

If the school is in England, the governing body must ensure that the designated person has regard to any guidance issued by the Secretary of State.
