The general provisions in sections 59 and 61 to 63, along with the regulation-making powers in sections 3(2) and 11(1) come into force on Royal Assent. The remaining provisions of the Act will come into force by means of commencement regulations made by the Secretary of State. It is intended to commence the provisions of the Act on 6 April 2016.
