Section 22 of the Planning Act 2008 (highways) is amended as follows.

In subsections (2)(b), (3)(b) and (5)(b), after “Secretary of State” insert “ or a strategic highways company ”.

In subsection (9), at the appropriate place insert—

“strategic highways company” means a company for the time being appointed under Part 1 of the Infrastructure Act 2015.
