SCHEDULE 2 U.K. Meaning of biometric information

Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (c. 41) U.K.

4 (1) Section 127 of that Act (voluntary provision of physical data) is amended as follows. U.K.

(2) In subsection (1), for “information about his external physical characteristics” substitute “ biometric information ”.

(3) In subsection (2)(a) and (b), before “information” insert “ biometric ”.

(4) In subsection (3)—

(a) after paragraph (a) insert—

“(aa) biometric information”, and”;

(b) omit the “and” at the end of paragraph (b);

(c) omit paragraph (c).
