26Amendments that could have been made under existing powers

Where—
(a)
any other provision of this Act amends or revokes subordinate legislation (within the meaning of the Interpretation Act 1978), and
(b)
the amendment or revocation could have been made under a power conferred by an enactment,
the amendment or revocation is treated, for the purposes of that enactment, as having been made under it.
