Release and supervision of offenders sentenced to less than 2 yearsU.K.

2U.K.The amendments made by sections 1 to 3, 4(2), 5 and 6, Part 1 of Schedule 1, Schedules 2 and 3 and paragraph 2 of Schedule 6 apply in relation toβ€”

(a)any person who falls to be released under Chapter 6 of Part 12 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 on or after the commencement day, and

(b)any person who falls to be released under a detention and training order (including an order under section 211 of the Armed Forces Act 2006) on or after the commencement day.

3U.K.The amendments made by section 4(3) to (8) and Part 2 of Schedule 1 apply where a person was released before the commencement day (as well as where a person is released on or after that day).

8U.K.Where an offence is found to have been committed over a period of 2 or more days, or at some time during a period of 2 or more days, it must be taken for the purposes of this Schedule to have been committed on the last of those days.
