This Act may be cited as the Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures Act 2011.

This Act comes into force on the day after the day on which it is passed.

This Act extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Her Majesty may by Order in Council direct that this Act is to extend, with such modifications as appear to Her Majesty to be appropriate, to the Isle of Man.
