Disapplication of section 658U.K.

88(1)Section 658 (chargeable gain or allowable loss treated as accruing) does not apply to a derivative contract of a company for an accounting period if the liability representing the debtor relationship was owed by the company immediately before its first accounting period to begin on or after 1 January 2005.U.K.

(2)If section 658 would apply to a derivative contract for an accounting period but for sub-paragraph (1), section 574 (non-trading credits and debits to be brought into account under Part 5) does not apply to the credits and debits which are given in relation to the derivative contract for the accounting period by section 595.
