[F4A2D4]Additional steps towards occupational competenceE+W+S

(1)Where there is [F5a] technical education qualification [F6that is approved under section A2D3] in respect of one or more occupations, the [F7Secretary of State] may from time to time determine other steps that [F8the Secretary of State] considers it would be appropriate for a person to take in order to progress towards being a person who is competent to work in those occupations.

(2)Steps determined under this section may include the obtaining of other qualifications.

(3)The [F7Secretary of State] may make a further determination under this section.

(4)The [F7Secretary of State] must publish a statement of any steps [F9the Secretary of State] determines under this section.

(5)In this Chapter steps that the [F7Secretary of State] determines under this section are referred to as “approved steps towards occupational competence”.]
