Where there is F3a technical education qualification F4that is approved under section A2D3 in respect of one or more occupations, the F5Secretary of State may from time to time determine other steps that F6the Secretary of State considers it would be appropriate for a person to take in order to progress towards being a person who is competent to work in those occupations.

Steps determined under this section may include the obtaining of other qualifications.

The F5Secretary of State may make a further determination under this section.

The F5Secretary of State must publish a statement of any steps F7the Secretary of State determines under this section.

In this Chapter steps that the F5Secretary of State determines under this section are referred to as “approved steps towards occupational competence”.
