[F1 35D Timetable for deciding request for direction under section 35B E+W+S

(1) The Secretary of State may by regulations—

(a) make provision about time limits for decisions about whether to give directions under section 35B(1) following qualifying requests (including provision for the extension of any prescribed period in prescribed circumstances);

(b) make provision for and in connection with the provision of information to the Secretary of State for the purposes of such decisions.

(2) In this section “qualifying request” means a request in relation to which the conditions in section 35B(5) or (6) are satisfied.]
