165DirectionsU.K.
(1)Any power of the Secretary of State or the Privy Council to give directions under this Act includes power to vary or revoke the directions by subsequent directions.
(2)[F1Subject to subsection (3),] a direction under this Act by the Secretary of State or the Privy Council must be given by an instrument in writing.
[F2(3)A direction under section 82 must be given by regulations or by an instrument in writing.]
