F138Duty to send inspection reports to the Secretary of State

(1)

In section 13A of the Local Government Act 1999 (c. 27) (reports of inspections by Auditor General for Wales), after subsection (4) insert—

“(4A)

If a report relates to any extent to the administration of housing benefit or council tax benefit and the Auditor General for Wales thinks fit to do so, he shall as soon as reasonably practicable send a copy of the report to the Secretary of State.”

(2)

In section 29 of that Act (modifications for Wales), after subsection (2) insert—

“(2A)

Subsection (1)(a) does not apply to section 13A(4A).”
