In Schedule 4 to the Local Government Act 1974 (c. 7) (the Commission) at the end insert—

“Delegation

(1)

Any function of a Commissioner may be discharged on the Commissioner's behalf—

(a)

by any person authorised by the Commissioner to do so, and

(b)

to the extent so authorised.

(2)

Sub-paragraph (1) does not affect the responsibility of the Commissioner for the discharge of the function.”
