Co-operation between NHS bodies

72Co-operation between NHS bodies

F1(1)

It is the duty of NHS bodies to co-operate with each other in exercising their functions.

F2(1A)

The Secretary of State may publish guidance on the discharge of the duty under subsection (1) in relation to England.

(1B)

An NHS body other than a Welsh NHS body must have regard to any guidance published under subsection (1A).

For the purposes of this section, NICE is an NHS body.

In this section “Welsh NHS body” means—

(a)

an NHS trust established under the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006,

(b)

a Special Health Authority established under that Act, or

(c)

a Local Health Board.
