The holder of a permit may apply to the licensing authority to vary the number or category (or both) of gaming machines authorised by the permit.

Paragraphs 1 to 7 and 21 shall have effect (with any necessary modifications) in relation to an application for variation under this paragraph as they have effect in relation to an application for the issue of a permit.
