In section 24(1)(a) of the Superannuation Act 1972 (compensation for loss of office), for “in relation to whom a Scheme may be made in accordance with section 26 of the Fire Services Act 1947 (Firemen’s Pension Scheme)” substitute “ in respect of whose service payments may be made under a scheme brought into operation under section 34 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 ”.
