The Secretary of State may pay to the Electoral Commission such amount as he decides is the amount required by them to enable the Boundary Committee for England to carry out their functions under this Part.

A payment under subsection (1) must be treated as income received by the Commission for the purposes of paragraph 14(1) of Schedule 1 to the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (c. 41).
