In this Part—
“the Banking Consolidation Directive” means directive 2006/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14th June 2006 relating to the taking up and pursuit of the business of credit institutions F2as last amended by Directive 2009/111/EC;
F3“the Emission Allowance Auctioning Regulation” means Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1031/2010 of 12 November 2010 on the timing, administration and other aspects of auctioning of greenhouse gas emission allowances pursuant to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a scheme for greenhouse gas emission allowances trading within the Community;
“the Insurance Mediation Directive” means directive 2002/92/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9th December 2002 on insurance mediation;
“the Life Assurance Consolidation Directive” means directive 2002/83/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5th November 2002 concerning life assurance; and
“the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive” means directive 2004/39/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12th April 2004 on markets in financial instruments.

In this Part references to amounts in euros include references to equivalent amounts in another currency.

Terms used in this Part and in the Banking Consolidation Directive or the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive have the same meaning in this Part as in those Directives.
