In section 33 of the National Heritage Act 1983 (c. 47) (Commission’s general functions), in subsection (2), after paragraph (e), inserted by section 4 of this Act, insert—

“(f)

may defray or contribute to the cost of any activity undertaken by another person if the activity—

(i)

relates to ancient monuments or historic buildings, and

(ii)

is of a kind which the Commission may itself undertake.”
