(1)The Representation of the M1People Act 1983 shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in Schedule 18, which makes changes to Part II of that Act (the election campaign) and related provisions of Part III of that Act (legal proceedings).
(2)The amendments made by Schedule 18 [F1(other than paragraphs 8 and 15(a))] do not have effect in relation to local government elections in Scotland.
