SCHEDULE 21 Minor and consequential amendments

(1)

Section 11 of that Act (revision of procedures in the light of pilot schemes) is amended as follows.

(2)

At the end of subsection (1) insert—

“The power of the Secretary of State to make such an order shall, however, be exercisable only on a recommendation of the Electoral Commission.”

(3)

In subsection (4), for the words from “the report” onwards substitute “ every report under section 10 which relates to a scheme making provision similar to that made by the order. ”
