A local authority F1, an elected mayor or an executive leader must have regard to any guidance for the time being issued by the F2Welsh Ministers for the purposes of this Part.

The guidance may, among other things, include provision designed to encourage good practice in relation to equality and diversity (within the meaning of section 8(2) of the Equality Act 2006).

Guidance under this section may make different provision for different cases or descriptions of local authority.
