In this Part—

F2“local authority in Wales” has the same meaning as in the Education Act 1996 (see section 579(1) of that Act);
“the National Assembly” means the National Assembly for Wales.
(2)
In this Part, any reference to the Chief Inspector for Wales is to be read as a reference to F3Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru.
