“BBC” and “television licence” have the same meaning as in the M1Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949;

“the Northern Ireland department” means the Department for Social Development;

“prescribed” means prescribed by order made by the Secretary of State;

“war pensions” has the same meaning as in section 25 of the M2Social Security Act 1989.
