General interpretation of “local authority”

In section 336(1) of the [1990 c. 8.] Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (general interpretation) in paragraph (a) of the definition of “local authority”—
a
the words “(except the Receiver for the Metropolitan Police District)” shall cease to have effect; and
b
at the end there shall be inserted “or the Metropolitan Police Authority”.
