If section 90 of this Act comes into force before the repeal by this Act of Schedule 3 to the [1988 c. 34.] Legal Aid Act 1988, that Schedule shall have effect until that repeal comes into force subject to the modifications specified in sub-paragraphs (2) and (3).

Paragraphs 3(1) and (2) and 4(1) shall have effect as if for “clerk of” there were substituted “justices' chief executive for”.

Paragraph 4(2) shall have effect—
a
as if for “clerk of” there were substituted “justices' chief executive for”, and
b
as if the words from “and section” to the end were omitted.
